Settima puntata: Ombre nella Notte
August 21, 2007 08:50 AM PDT
This is the seventh of 10 episodes. This episode starts just after Tex and Thomas have killed two monsters and Kaiva. Valance got away. In the prior episode Tex and his companions are on their way out of Dr Ferguson's house. Tex is sure they'll get important information from the indians. Thomas is very disillusioned because their visit to Dr Ferguson didn't help clear up any of the mystery of his Father's disappearance. Leo Valance and Kaiva meet the group on their way to the horse stalls. Valance manages the horse stalls and Kaiva is his helper. Tex asks Valance if knows anything about what happened to Dr Ferguson. Valance says he heard about the disappearance and suggests Mexican bandits were probably involved. Tex speculates that the storehouses and stalls would be a good place for a bandit to hide things. Valance is incredulous because he thinks Tex is suggesting that he was involved in the disappearance. Tex says it wasn't his intention. Tex also asks Valance for directions to the indian villages. Valance gives directions after retrieving the horses. There are two paths to the indian villages. One path is long and winding while the other is very steep along the edge of cliffs. Valance and Kaiva devise a plan to make sure Tex won't discover their criminal work. The group gets on the trail and breaks up into two parts when the two trails diverge. Tex and Thomas will take the long trail while the others take the steep trail. Thomas asks Tex what he thinks of Valance. Tex says he a nose for criminals and Valance seems like a criminal. They also discuss Dr Ferguson. Tex thinks something is being hidden. Thomas describes Ferguson's work and his effort to seperate good from evil. They go to sleep but it turns out they don't sleep for very long. Valance and Kaiva sneek up on them and they have two monster helpers (Yablas and Yamas). There's a gunfight. Tex kills the two monsters and Kaiva. Valance gets away. Podcast SummaryThis is a podcast for intermediate or advanced Italian language learners. You can expand your vocabulary by listening to spoken Italian while you also read the transcript and study the words that are unfamiliar. The best part is that you'll have a lot of fun in the process! "Fumetti" are Italian comic books. The podcasts are comic books that were originally dramatized for Italian radio (RADIO 2). This podcast will focus mainly on three comic book characters that are incredibly successful in Italy: Tex, Diabolik and Dylan Dog. The podcasts and other materials on the website will show you how deeply the characters have entered the consciousness of contemporary Italian society. Transcripts are available for download. Please send me comments and suggestions at fumetti@podomatic.com. Grazie tante! About KeithCiao a tutti! I took my first Italian language class with some friends in preparation for our vacation in Italy. Needless to say the vacation was an incredible experience. I decided that I would return to Italy as much as possible and I would also continue to learn Italian. Since then I've become the Organizer of the Washington, DC Italian language Meetup group [http://italian.meetup.com/38] and I've returned to Italy many times. Each time I go back to Italy it's even more enjoyable because now I can converse with people in their native language. Italian fumetti [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Italian_comics] are my latest obsession. I've started to read them as much as possible and I'm finding it to be a great way to expand my knowledge of Italian. This podcast is an effort to share my passion with others. Here's an article from the Italian "Comics Blog" about this series of podcasts...clicca qui [http://www.comicsblog.it/post/990/impara-litaliano-con-tex] Enjoy! Buon divertimento!
