Diabolik (schicchi) anvedi come balla nando
September 21, 2007 07:01 PM PDT
Here's a YouTube video from the television show Libero which appears on Rai 2. The host is Teo Mammucari and his guests are Riccardo Schicchi and Eva Henger. Schicchi and Henger are in the roles of Diabolik and Eva Kant during their appearance. Henger also plays the role of Eva Kant in an Italian sit-com called Diabetik which is a spoof on Diabolik. In the video Schicchi sings a song written by Teo and usually performed by a popular dancer on the show named Nando. The song is Anvedi come balla Nando which achieved notable success in Italy. The Diabolik and Eva Kant roles seem especially appropriate for Schicchi and Henger. They were both in trouble with law in recent years on criminal charges relating to a prostitution ring. Schicchi and Henger were married and they have two children but now they are divorced. You can click on their names above to get more details.

Podcast SummaryThis is a podcast for intermediate or advanced Italian language learners. You can expand your vocabulary by listening to spoken Italian while you also read the transcript and study the words that are unfamiliar. The best part is that you'll have a lot of fun in the process! "Fumetti" are Italian comic books. The podcasts are comic books that were originally dramatized for Italian radio (RADIO 2). This podcast will focus mainly on three comic book characters that are incredibly successful in Italy: Tex, Diabolik and Dylan Dog. The podcasts and other materials on the website will show you how deeply the characters have entered the consciousness of contemporary Italian society. Transcripts are available for download. Please send me comments and suggestions at fumetti@podomatic.com. Grazie tante! About KeithCiao a tutti! I took my first Italian language class with some friends in preparation for our vacation in Italy. Needless to say the vacation was an incredible experience. I decided that I would return to Italy as much as possible and I would also continue to learn Italian. Since then I've become the Organizer of the Washington, DC Italian language Meetup group [http://italian.meetup.com/38] and I've returned to Italy many times. Each time I go back to Italy it's even more enjoyable because now I can converse with people in their native language. Italian fumetti [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Italian_comics] are my latest obsession. I've started to read them as much as possible and I'm finding it to be a great way to expand my knowledge of Italian. This podcast is an effort to share my passion with others. Here's an article from the Italian "Comics Blog" about this series of podcasts...clicca qui [http://www.comicsblog.it/post/990/impara-litaliano-con-tex] Enjoy! Buon divertimento!
